Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all facility maintenance operations to support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing and distribution activities. This position oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, facility infrastructure, material handling equipment, security systems, contractor management, and capital improvement projects. The role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, IT, and other site functions to drive equipment reliability, cost control, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting the organization's growth objectives.

Description

  • Lead all maintenance activities for facility infrastructure, utilities, material handling equipment, and building systems.
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Establish and maintain maintenance budgets, including labor, materials, contractors, and capital expenditures.
  • Track maintenance costs, equipment performance, and asset utilization to support operational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Oversee facility housekeeping standards and support site-wide operational excellence initiatives.
  • Manage facility security systems, access controls, cameras, and related infrastructure.
  • Negotiate and manage service agreements and vendor contracts to ensure cost-effective support services.
  • Obtain quotations and coordinate execution of facility and maintenance-related projects.
  • Partner with Engineering, IT, Operations, and other departments on cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Support business objectives related to productivity, customer service, project execution, and organizational growth.
  • Lead maintenance personnel, provide coaching and development, and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure maintenance documentation, records, and work management systems are maintained accurately.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of maintenance leadership experience with direct people management responsibilities, or 10 years of progressive maintenance experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams, contractors, and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance systems.
  • Experience developing and managing maintenance budgets and capital improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), ERP platforms, or work order management systems such as SAP or JD Edwards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple departments and organizational levels.
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
