Summary

An established engineering organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership on a wide variety of industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. This individual will play a key role in project execution, client engagement, and team development while serving as a subject matter expert for electrical engineering design and analysis.

The successful candidate will lead projects through all phases of development, from initial planning and design through construction support and project closeout. In addition to technical responsibilities, this role offers the opportunity to mentor developing engineers, influence engineering standards, and contribute to the continued growth of a highly collaborative engineering team.

Description

  • Lead electrical engineering efforts for projects ranging from preliminary planning through final construction and commissioning.
  • Serve as the engineering lead for assigned projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.
  • Develop electrical system designs, technical specifications, calculations, and construction documentation.
  • Oversee project execution while coordinating activities across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and technical consultation.
  • Participate in project planning, scope development, resource allocation, and risk management activities.
  • Review engineering work products to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company quality requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, designers, and technical staff.
  • Support proposal development, project pursuits, and business development initiatives when needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
  • Support construction administration activities including design clarifications, submittal reviews, field observations, and issue resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive electrical engineering experience within an architectural/engineering consulting, engineering services, or multidisciplinary design environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering projects from conceptual design through construction completion.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, electrical system design, equipment specification, and applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Experience coordinating engineering activities across multiple technical disciplines.
  • Proven leadership experience managing project teams, mentoring staff, and driving project execution.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance technical, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage with clients, contractors, project stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
